Sieve flour and salt into a basin Make a well in the centre In a separate basin, beat the egg Melt the margarine in a saucepan When tepid, add to the egg, then mi x in the milk Pour mixture into the centre of the flour and work well into a soft dough Cut in half and shape into long twists Brush with beaten egg or milk Bake in a greased tin in middle of oven at gas mark 7 (425 degrees F) for 35 mins |
